Answering the Call: At Home and Abroad

The 111th Sustainment Brigade is not just a combat-ready force; it is a vital community partner during times of crisis.

  • Hurricane Maria Recovery (2017): In the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Maria, the Brigade headquarters deployed to Puerto Rico. Under Joint Task Force–Puerto Rico, our personnel led critical relief operations in San Juan, helping communities rebuild.
  • COVID-19 Pandemic Response: When the pandemic struck, the 111th SB stepped up to protect New Mexico. The 111th SB managed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) distribution, supported testing and alternate care sites, administered vaccines, and provided direct humanitarian aid to communities across the state, including the Pueblos and the Navajo Nation.
