Operating from the historic Onate Complex, the New Mexico Army National Guard Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ-NM) serves as the strategic nerve center for the state's military operations. JFHQ-NM provides essential command and control for the state's military department. Our primary focus is ensuring that our forces are mission-ready, highly trained, and capable of immediate expansion to meet any state or federal requirement. We remain steadfastly committed to the Land of Enchantment and the holistic welfare of our Soldiers, Civilians, and their Families.

Entrusted with defending both our state and our Nation, we execute operational mandates directed by the President of the United States, the Governor of New Mexico, and the Adjutant General.

As a premier operational force enabler, JFHQ-NM seamlessly synchronizes the New Mexico Department of Military Affairs (NM-DMA), Domestic Operations (DOMOPS), and the Joint Staff. Whether we are mobilizing to support local communities during natural disasters or projecting combat-ready forces to augment the Active Army for overseas contingency operations, our command element responds to every call with agility and unwavering professionalism.
